2020/2021 Baker McKenzie Virtual Seasonal Clerkship Information & Networking Evening

Instructions for Baker McKenzie representatives

Thank you for participating in our Baker McKenzie Melbourne 2020/21 Seasonal Clerkship recruitment process.

Please read these instructions carefully before attending the virtual Information & Networking Evening.

 

Joining our Networking Evening

1. The event will commence at 4:30 pm with a welcome address and virtual panel, hosted by Peter Lucarelli and Natalie Mascarenhas, and will feature the following panellists: Leigh Duthie, Aylin Cunsolo, Rob Gough, Rowena Baer, Ellen Leishman, Daniela Yaneva and Dave Sima.
   
   If you are not participating in our panel, please join the event at 5.40 pm.  

 

2. At 5:45 pm, students will be invited to join you in Zoom video booths dedicated to each practice group.

 

3. Please join your practice group's Zoom booth on the virtual event homepage by clicking here). Prior to joining, please ensure you have a Baker McKenzie Zoom virtual background.

 

4. Use the ‘Join Video Booth’ button under your practice group description to join your Zoom booth. For the best possible networking experience, please join with your videos on.

 

5. Throughout the evening, candidates will move between Zoom booths to network with each practice group and hear more about our areas of practice. Candidates will be able to ask questions verbally or via the Zoom meeting chat function.

 

6. Candidates can attend as many or few practice group Zoom booths as they wish and can allocate their time as they see fit. They are also welcome to return to any practice groups they’ve already visited throughout the event.

 

7. The networking session will conclude at 7:40 pm.

 

8. At 7:40 pm, candidates and Baker McKenzie representatives will be invited back to the main Zoom booth and Peter Lucarelli will wrap up the event.

 

Practice Groups & Hosts

Each Zoom booth will be hosted by one of our Associates/Graduates, who will assist with managing questions from our candidates throughout the night. Our Hosts can be identified by their specific "Buddy Host" Zoom background.

Our Seasonal Clerk's allocated buddies will generally be in their practice group's Zoom booth but may circulate around the event to ensure that the booths are running effectively and our candidates are networking within their areas of interest.
