2020/2021 Baker McKenzie Virtual Seasonal Clerkship Information & Networking Evening

Instructions for Candidates

Thank you for participating in our Baker McKenzie Melbourne 2020/21 Seasonal Clerkship recruitment process.

Please read these instructions carefully before attending the virtual Information & Networking Evening.

Joining our Virtual Information & Networking Evening

  1. The event will commence at 4:30 pm with a welcome address and virtual panel, hosted by Peter Lucarelli (Melbourne Staff Partner) and Natalie Mascarenhas (Talent Management Consultant). The panel will feature the following panellists: Leigh Duthie (Partner), Aylin Cunsolo (Partner), Rob Gough (Senior Associate), Rowena Baer (Associate), Ellen Leishman (Graduate), and Daniela Yaneva and Dave Sima (former Seasonal Clerks/2021 Graduates).

To join, use the 'Join Panel Session' button under the event introduction on the virtual event homepage (click here for the homepage).

We encourage you to use the Zoom 'raise hand' function and verbally ask questions during the panel session when you are called on. You can also feel free to submit your questions in the chat box and we will call on you to ask your question. We would like it to be as interactive as possible!

  1. At 5:45 pm, the panel will conclude and you will be invited to join Zoom video booths dedicated to each of our practice groups. Please join our practice groups' Zoom booths via the virtual event homepage. Use the ‘Join Video Booth’ button under the practice group description to join each Zoom booth.

We encourage you to visit any practice groups you are interested in, with your videos on throughout the evening, to network with our Partners, lawyers, Graduates and former Seasonal Clerks (2021 Graduates) and learn about our various practice groups. You can attend as many or few Zoom booths as you wish and can allocate your time as you see fit. You are also welcome to return to any practice groups throughout the event. We again encourage you to use the Zoom 'raise hand' function and verbally ask questions during the networking session when you are called on. You can also feel free to submit your questions in the chat box and the Buddy Host will call on you to ask your question.

  1. At 7:40 pm, candidates and Baker McKenzie representatives will be invited back to the main Zoom booth and Peter Lucarelli will wrap up the event.

  1. The event will conclude at 7:45 pm.
