To make sure both candidates and representatives get the most out of the virtual panel & information evening, it's important that everyone understands the ground rules for video rooms.
For small rooms
- For small rooms (less than 5 students), the conversation flows as it would at a face-to-face event.
- Candidates can ask questions for representatives about Baker McKenzie and their practice area.
- Representatives can choose to screen share and run through a presentation or just answer questions as they come.
For large rooms
- For large groups (more than 5 candidates), the discussion is moderated by the Baker McKenzie representative by picking questions from a list submitted in the video chat log.
- When a question is selected from the list, the Baker McKenzie representative can ask the student to repeat the question before answering it.
- Buddy hosts may elect to create breakout rooms when the room reaches a large size. You will be encouraged to self select the room you'd like to join and you may move between rooms via the breakout room button.
Room control
- All participants will be muted by default, to reduce background noise.
- The Baker McKenzie representative has control of the video room and can ask people to leave or eject them out if they are being disruptive.
- Please be respectful of representatives and other candidates throughout the evening.
